Nkunzi Lodge
Diepkloof Farm Kataza
The farm is suitable for hiking, mountain biking and quad riding. A unique indigenous tree trail with many different species has been developed, in conjunction with a very healthy bird count.
For the bass fisherman, good fishing is available free of charge to guests in three dams within 30km from the lodge. |

The lodge sleeps four in two well appointed bedrooms, with separate bath toilet and shower. An open plan lounge dining room area is serviced by a Jetmaster fireplace for cold winter evenings. (Firewood provided). The kitchen is fully equipped and there are outside braai facilities available. Linen and towels are provided and the lodge is serviced daily. There is no television or telephone. A 30sq meter wooden deck overlooking a delightful waterfall and weir contribute to the restful ambiance of the environment.

On arrival at the old trading store, guests park their cars in a guarded security area. After receiving a short overview of the history of the area, they proceed either by horse, ox-wagon, donkey cart, on foot (or by 4x4 on request) on a 1-hour trail accompanied by a guide.
Accommodation has a real pioneer feel to it. Each room is uniquely crafted ... Zulus build by instinct, with no plans and comprise six rock rooms in the pioneer settlement, 5 lodge rooms and 5 contemporary Zulu huts in the Zulu muzi |

Homemade breakfast, lunch and dinners are served in a cozy, well positioned dining area. A restaurant & bar menu is available for guests and day visitors. A superb venue for private and conference functions.
The log cabins well positioned and comfortably furnished are an attraction of their own. They support 2 identical units per log cabin (14 units, 28 beds) with their own tea, coffee and bathroom facilities. Each bedroom has a television.
